Resurrection Beach MCC is standing with women and children who have suffered physical, sexual and emotional abuse one family at a time by supporting an Orange County family during the Holidays and beyond.
In December 2011, we have committed to giving a mother and her two young sons a Christmas at a time when their lives have seemed to fall apart. Thus far we've had a Christmas tree and trimmings, two scooters, two helmets, and a few other gifts donated. The church has also commttied to providing a healthy Christmas dinner to this family in need.
At this time we need clothing donated for all three. The youngest boy, age 4, wears Size 5 clothes and size 11 (kids) shoes. The oldest boy, age 6, wears size 10 clothes and size 13 (kids) shoes. The mother wears large size shirts and a women's 8 1/2 shoe.

Hopefully we will continue to be able to support this family and others as the needs arise and the support exists.

This annual week-long camp retreat is hosted by the United Methodist Church in various locations across the country. It is a spiritual and social “recharging” for adults living with HIV/AIDS. Since 1992 camp has been offered for those living in the Long Beach/Orange County area.
In 2009 RBMCC began supporting this ministry with scholarships and writing campers letters to encourage them during their time at camp. In successive years, a number of our congregants and leaders have begun volunteering as camp staff where we have helped with registration, taught workshops and assisted clergy with spiritual support for the campers. We are extremely excited and blessed to be part of this ministry, which provides tangible and powerful support to an incredible group of men and women! |

For over a decade, the members and friends of RBMCC have been involved in raising funds to purchase Christmas and birthday gifts for children living with HIV / AIDS.
Much of these funds are raised through recycling cans and bottles, as well as through direct monetary contributions.
It is in giving back, and in seeing the joy on the faces of these children, many of whom were born HIV positive, that we can realize the meaning of what Jesus meant in doing unto the least of these. |

In 2011, RBMCC began a new ministry to change the world by collecting pocket change and donating the funds to various local non-profit groups.
The first recipiant of our pocket change - $200 worth of pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters - was S.O.S. Save Our Selves, a local medical charity that provides free health services to those without health insurance.
Once our jar is filled again, the collected monies will be given to a new local charity. |

RBMCC has teamed up with Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church to provide meals and gifts to people living with HIV / AIDS. Once a month meals are prepared and frozen, and then twice a month those meals are delivered to clients across Orange County.
Each Easter and Christmas, gift baskets are prepared and delivered as well. For some, these may be the only Christmas gifts they receive. |
