Our Worship Service

Resurrection Beach offers a blended worship, meaning a mix of contemporary and traditional worship styles. Therefore you will find a touch of a variety of backgrounds and styles represented in our worship service, including Pentecostal, Epsicopal, Lutheran, Methodist and Evangelical.

Service general lasts between 75 and 90 minutes and includes traditional hymns along with contemporary praise and worship.

Communion is served at every service. You do not need to be a member of this church or any church to participate in Communion. A personal prayer is often offered during Communion.

Our church prides itself in hospitality. Following regular worship service, food and beverages are provided as part of our ministry. Sometimes this can be a snack or a dessert. At other times it may be a full meal. All are welcome to stick around and get to know one another while we enjoy the great eats.

Our Community

Resurrection Beach MCC currently is made up of a diverse range of people, from young professionals to retirees, male and female and who each come from a unique experience.

Not everyone who attends RBMCC is out of the closet and not everyone has been a Christian their whole life. You do not have to identify yourself as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or straight to attend our services and be a part of our community - and you don't have to be a long-term Christian to be here either.

Because we come from various traditions and have had our own coming out experiences, the culture of RBMCC is one of acceptance and respect. So many of us have experienced dogmatic threats from zealots, or have been lied to by those that profess to "love us." Many of us have also experienced the feeling of not belonging and not being accepted. Becuase of this tendancyof many Christian churches to abuse GLBT people, we have intentionally created a community that attempts to reverse that trend in Christian society.

Our numbers are small and growing. We are not focused on people as statistics or donors as it often feels in other churches. We are focused on building a network of caring people of faith that seeks to lift one another up in a world often filled with hatred and darkness.

HIV / AIDS Ministry

Our HIV / AIDS ministry is very important to us and many members and friends are active in that area. For us it is a ministry of love and service to those in need and an opportunity to live out Christ's Gospel.

RBMCC continually supports a program of meal delivery to those with HIV/AIDS that are not able to prepare a well-balanced meal for themselves. We also have a tradition of preparing Christmas and Easter gift baskets for these same people.

In addition, RBMCC helps provide birthday and Christmas gifts to numerous children being treated for HIV/AIDS at Children's Hospital of Orange County.

Fun and Fellowship

Our church loves to have fun and we keep a very busy social calendar. Wether it be beach bonfires, movie nights, potluck dinners, game nights or trips to local museums, there is always something to do outside the normal church routine.
